Start with the air your work demands, choose the power source that fits your operation, then confirm the unit fits your truck, site and workflow. This guide makes the current Airtek lineup easier to compare.
Is Airworks the right fit?
Airworks Twister compressors are compact rotary-screw systems built for mobile, remote and demanding applications. They are a strong fit when reliable continuous airflow, a compact enclosure and independent operation matter more than having the lowest-cost intermittent air source.
Four decisions narrow the field
The model name matters less than these four operating requirements. Work through them in order and the right product family becomes much easier to identify.
Find each tool’s required CFM at its working PSI. Add tools that may run together, then allow for hose losses, leaks and future needs.
Match diesel, gasoline, DC electric, propane or natural gas to the fuel and electrical infrastructure already available in your fleet or at your site.
Check dry weight, installed dimensions, service access, cooling clearance and the effect on payload and axle loading.
Depending on the model, available options may include higher pressure, an air receiver, generator, booster, cold-weather equipment or specialized mounting.
Begin with rated output
These bands are practical starting points, not a substitute for an application review. Always confirm the manufacturer’s CFM requirement at the tool’s actual working pressure and account for simultaneous use.
A sensible place to start for one-technician service work and common pneumatic tools where space and payload are tightly managed.
More working reserve for sustained tool use, with the widest choice of fuel and power sources in the Airtek Airworks lineup.
Built for larger tools, heavier equipment service and operations where additional airflow provides meaningful productivity headroom.
EVO models for heavy construction, demanding industrial field service and other applications requiring sustained high-volume air.
| Model | Rated output | Power source | Product position | Useful starting point when… |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Twister T35 | 35 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | Compact diesel | Space is limited and the work does not require 40+ CFM. |
| Twister G40 | 40 CFM @ 100 PSI | Gasoline | Compact gasoline | You want 40 CFM without adding a diesel fuel system. |
| Twister T40 | 40 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | Compact diesel | A diesel service truck needs a proven mid-compact package. |
| Twister E60 | 60 CFM @ 100 PSI | DC electric | Zero-emission operation | Exhaust emissions, noise or indoor/confined work are concerns. |
| Twister G60 | 60 CFM @ 100 PSI | Gasoline | Compact gasoline | You need versatile 60 CFM performance in a compact footprint. |
| Twister G60 Propane | 60 CFM @ 100 PSI | Propane | Compact alternative fuel | Propane is already part of the fleet or site fuel strategy. |
| Twister G60 Natural Gas | 60 CFM @ 100 PSI | Natural gas | Compact site-fuel option | A dependable natural-gas supply is available at the work site. |
| Twister T60 | 60 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | Compact diesel | A diesel fleet needs additional reserve over a 40 CFM unit. |
| Twister T80 EVO | 80 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | EVO high-output platform | Your air demand exceeds the compact 60 CFM class. |
| Twister T100 EVO | 100 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | EVO high-output platform | You want triple-digit output on the diesel EVO platform. |
| Twister G100 Propane | 100 CFM @ 100 PSI | Propane | High-output alternative fuel | You need 100 CFM and propane is the preferred fuel. |
| Twister G100 Natural Gas | 100 CFM @ 100 PSI | Natural gas | High-output site-fuel option | Natural gas is readily available and 100 CFM is required. |
| Twister T150 EVO | 150 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | High-volume EVO | Heavy field applications require sustained high-volume air. |
| Twister T185 EVO | 185 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | High-volume EVO | The operation needs traditional 185-class job-site output. |
| Twister T235 EVO | 235 CFM @ 100 PSI | Diesel | Maximum-output EVO | Maximum airflow is the priority within the current range. |
Rated output is shown at 100 PSI. Maximum pressure, dimensions, weight, available options and warranty coverage vary by model and configuration. Product specifications can change; Airtek will confirm the final configuration before quoting.
Match the compressor to your infrastructure
The right power source usually follows the truck, work site and refuelling plan. Do not choose on fuel alone—compare runtime, emissions, noise, installed weight, maintenance and where the unit will operate.
The broadest output range and a natural fit for diesel service fleets. Current diesel Twisters are Tier 4 Final compliant.
T35–T235 EVOCompact self-contained power for fleets and mobile crews where gasoline is readily available and diesel is not required.
G40 · G60Zero-emission operation for noise-sensitive, indoor or confined environments. Charging and runtime must suit the duty profile.
E60An alternative-fuel option where propane storage and refuelling already fit the operation’s equipment strategy.
G60 · G100Well suited to fixed or field installations that have a dependable on-site natural-gas supply.
G60 · G100A good compressor still needs a good installation

Common buying questions
PSI describes air pressure; CFM describes the volume of air the compressor supplies. Check both numbers at the same operating point. The compressor must reach the required pressure and sustain enough airflow for every tool running at the same time.
A 100% duty-cycle rating means the compressor is designed for continuous operation under its rated conditions. That makes the Twister lineup well suited to professional applications where air demand can continue for extended periods.
It depends on the application and configuration. A receiver can help buffer short demand spikes and stabilize the system, but it does not make an undersized compressor produce more continuous airflow. Airtek can recommend the appropriate receiver and controls.
Yes. Airtek installs compressor systems on trucks, trailers and in facilities, and provides repair and scheduled-maintenance support from its Edmonton service operation.
