Industrial compressor service · Edmonton, Alberta
Practical troubleshooting and repair for Vanair mobile air systems, from compact engine-driven packages to truck-mounted PTO and hydraulic compressors.
Service that considers the compressor, controls, hydraulic supply, PTO drive, cooling and installation as one working system.
Support for current and earlier commercial Vanair compressor packages, subject to unit condition and parts availability.
A clear service intake, practical diagnosis and repair recommendations based on the equipment and the work it needs to perform.
Vehicle-mounted systems need system-level diagnosis
A mobile compressor can appear to have an air problem when the real cause is hydraulic flow, engine speed, a PTO or drive issue, restricted cooling, a control signal, or an installation condition. Airtek starts with the complete operating picture.
We work from the complaint, operating data and machine configuration to separate compressor faults from vehicle-side and auxiliary-system problems.
Current and legacy commercial equipment
Vanair has used several drive arrangements, air ends and integrated power configurations. Model and serial information matters, especially on earlier equipment. Contact us to confirm service scope for your exact machine.
Underdeck compressor packages use the chassis PTO or an existing hydraulic circuit. Diagnosis can involve the compressor module, shaft or hydraulic drive, controls, separator tank, cooler and vehicle-side inputs.
Includes: UDSM and UDHD packages, PTO shaft-driven systems, Genair, V2 and V3 multi-drive configurations.
Hydraulic reciprocating and rotary screw units used on mechanic, service, mining and utility trucks. We account for hydraulic supply, motor performance, cooling and air-side controls when troubleshooting.
Includes: Reliant RC40 and RC40-L, RS45, RS85-L and RS85-LYM, plus ADHD and ADHD-LYM.
Gasoline and diesel Viper compressors combine an engine, control system, cooling package and rotary screw air end in a compact platform for field tools and jobsite air.
Includes: Viper G55, G60, G70 and G80, along with diesel D60, D70 and D80 configurations.
Integrated packages can combine compressed air with generator, welder, battery or hydraulic functions. Air complaints may need to be isolated from the shared engine, drive, controls and cooling system.
Includes: Air N Arc 150, 250-L, 300, I-300 and 330 generations, plus PowerFlex AE and AEH configurations.
Commercial engine-driven reciprocating compressors and compressor-generator packages used for field service, tire work, agriculture, construction and remote jobsites.
Includes: PRO 25 and PRO 35 series, Contractor compressor-generator packages and earlier related commercial configurations.
Cross-mounted, engine-driven rotary screw packages used for road work, rail, sewer rehabilitation and construction require attention to the engine, aftertreatment where equipped, cooling and air system.
Includes: V185-UT, V210-UT and V260-UT utility-mount systems.
Start with the right information
Mobile equipment is easier to diagnose when we know the machine, chassis and operating conditions. Send what you have. We will tell you what else is useful before the service visit.

These symptoms can have more than one cause. Stop the unit if it is unsafe, repeatedly trips a protective device, overheats or shows signs of a pressurized-fluid leak.
Possible areas include power supply, fuses or relays, control inputs, engine conditions, hydraulic supply, solenoids or safety shutdowns.
Leaks, open service valves, air demand, inlet or solenoid faults, pressure sensing and drive speed all need to be separated.
Restricted filters, separator condition, slipping belts, low engine speed or inadequate hydraulic flow can reduce usable output.
Oil level, cooling airflow, fan operation, oil filters, cooler contamination, pressure setting and duty conditions can contribute.
Oil level, separator condition, scavenge restrictions, low discharge pressure and operating speed are typical inspection points.
A blowdown valve, solenoid signal, separator restriction or air-line backflow may prevent normal depressurization.
Flow, relief settings, fluid condition, cooling, motor wear, air in the circuit or another shared hydraulic load may be involved.
Pressure and temperature inputs, wiring, grounds, connectors, remote panels and drive controls can produce intermittent complaints.
A practical repair path
The exact process depends on the machine and installation, but every job starts by defining the fault and confirming the system Airtek is being asked to repair.
We record the model, serial number, hours, drive type, truck or skid installation and reported operating conditions.
Where safe and practical, we verify the complaint and check the air, control, cooling and drive systems that affect it.
We separate confirmed faults from related concerns, identify parts requirements and outline the recommended work.
After approved work is completed, we check operation and communicate any remaining installation or maintenance concerns.
Edmonton service context
Alberta work trucks see cold starts, road contamination, dust, long idle periods and changing hydraulic loads. The right repair accounts for how the compressor is mounted, supplied, cooled and actually used in the field.
Service questions
Yes, Airtek can assess many PTO, hydraulic and engine-driven Vanair air systems. Service scope depends on the exact model, installation, fault and parts availability. Send the model, serial number and truck information so we can review the application.
We can diagnose the compressor-side complaint and evaluate the hydraulic conditions that directly affect compressor operation. Some faults may require coordination with the truck upfitter, hydraulic supplier or vehicle repair provider.
We can assess many legacy commercial units, including earlier Air N Arc, Reliant, Viper, PRO, Contractor and underdeck configurations. Repair feasibility depends on condition, documentation and parts availability. The data plate is the best place to start.
Include clear photos of the machine and compressor data plates, the hour reading, fault codes, pressure and temperature observations, recent service history, and a short description of what changes when air demand begins.
Yes. A load-related shutdown can point to cooling, restriction, pressure setting, engine speed, belt condition, hydraulic supply or control inputs. Reproducing the complaint safely and recording operating values helps narrow the cause.
Often the complete vehicle is needed because the PTO, driveline, hydraulic supply, controls and mounting can be part of the fault. Contact Airtek before arrival so we can confirm access, vehicle size and service requirements.
Yes. Airtek can review filters, fluids, separators, belts, coolers, hoses, valves and other service items appropriate to the unit. The machine model, serial number, hours and prior maintenance records help identify the correct scope.
No. Repeatedly resetting or bypassing a protective device can damage equipment and create a safety risk. Stop the unit, record the fault and operating conditions, and arrange diagnosis before returning it to service.
Tell us which Vanair system you have, how it is driven and what happens when you ask it to make air. We will help define the next practical step.
